Meijer has a strong history of supporting the communities it serves, and that culture remains strong today through our philanthropic efforts.

The Meijer Simply Give program set a record in 2018 with more than $8.5 million — the equivalent of 4.5 million gallons of milk — for food pantries across the Midwest.

That brings the program’s overall Simply Give donation to nearly $46 million since its inception in 2008.

“Fred Meijer once said, ‘I want to leave the world in a little better shape than when I entered it,'” said Cathy Cooper, Senior Director of Community Partnerships and Giving. “We believe the Simply Give program not only helps the communities we serve, but also lives up to the Meijer family’s giving heritage.”
