We are excited to announce the first-ever Meijer LPGA Run & Walk Virtual Challenge for Simply Give.
“When we realized our traditional in-person 5k wasn’t in the cards for this year’s event, we were quick to provide a virtual option that would still highlight the talent of West Michigan’s running community and get families moving for a good cause,” said Cathy Cooper, Executive Director of the Meijer LPGA Classic.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Meijer Simply Give program. The challenge is presented by Kellogg’s and in partnership with Metro Health.
Here’s how it works:
Visit https://meijerlpgaclassic.com/tickets/ to register for the challenge. Participation will cost $15 per person; registrants will receive an event T-shirt, running cap, medal and a breakfast product from Kellogg's by mail.
Sign up as an individual or with family and friends to form a team to walk or run as many miles as you can over 6 days.
Each time participants contribute to their total mileage and track it using their preferred movement tracking app, they can log it through the registration page.
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each contest category: Men, women, team and family. The top three individuals and teams from each respective category will receive Meijer gift cards; first place will win $500, second place will win $250, and third place will win $100.
