Woodward Corner Market Donates to Royal Oak Community at Opening
Jan 29, 2020
Meijer strives to enrich lives in the communities we serve, and even though Woodward Corner Market is not a Meijer supercenter, it still follows the same fundamental philosophy of giving.
The new neighborhood grocery store made a commitment to the Royal Oak, Mich. community during its opening celebrations in January 2020. Store Manager Natalie Rubino donated $5,000 apiece to:
- Yad Ezra, a food bank based in Berkley that provides kosher food to Jewish families in need in Southeast Michigan;
- Children’s Miracle Network through Beaumont Hospital that supports the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible;
- And the Royal Oak Youth Assistance, which provides counseling, mentoring and skill building services to area youth.
“At Meijer we are committed to being a good neighbor,” Executive Chairman Hank Meijer said.
