Tournament week began with a visit to the St. Alphonsus Food Center on Monday with Executive Chairman Hank Meijer and LPGA Pros Kris Tamulis and Jaclyn Lee. Together they toured the facility and learned more about how it serves the local community thanks to contributions from the Meijer Simply Give program.
The first tee-off took place in the afternoon at the first ever Meijer LPGA Classic Veterans Pro-Am presented by Eisenhower Center. The Pro-Am, which was held at Blythefield Country Club, honored 20 veterans from across the country. In addition to Simply Give, the new partnership with Eisenhower Center proved to be a great way to bring the community together to support others in need.
The day closed with the Celebrity Welcome Reception, ahead of Tuesday’s Celebrity Pro-Am with live music and delicious bites curated by Celebrity Chef Dean Fearing.
