After helping execute the marketing for the 2018 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, Sallie Crumbacher signed up for the golf tournament’s accompanying 5k Run & Walk presented by Kellogg’s the first day registration opened.
The avid runner had so much fun that she plans to participate again this year.
“From hearing the Rockford High School band play at the start, the smiling faces of my co-workers and their families … to high 5’n Tony the Tiger at the finish and enjoying a bowl of cereal after — it’s ggggggrrreeat!” Crumbacher said.
She encourages others to join in the fun that also supports a great cause.
The 5k Run & Walk is one of the many events held during tournament week for the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. The tournament benefits the Meijer Simply Give program that restocks the shelves of food pantries across the Midwest. The previous five tournaments generated more than $4.2 million for the program.
