As we gear up to host 144 of the best female golfers June 13-19 at Blythefield Country Club, Meijer has changed the name of our LPGA tournament to the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. This name change is intended to bring additional focus to stocking the shelves of local food pantries.
Past Meijer LPGA Classic tournaments have been incredibly successful in providing world-class golf and fun events for families, and will once again benefit the Simply Give program. We are committed to helping feed hungry families in the communities we serve, and the Meijer LPGA Classic has made a far greater impact by raising awareness and funding for hunger relief across the Midwest.
The inaugural tournament in 2014 raised more than $600,000, and the 2015 Meijer LPGA Classic generated $750,000 for the Simply Give program. Since the program’s inception in November 2008, the program has generated more than $21 million for food pantries across the Midwest.
