Meijer is encouraging healthy smiles and environments by partnering with Colgate and TerraCycle to launch the Recycled Playground Challenge.
Schools in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Wisconsin can be entered in the eco-friendly contest to win a new playground composed of recycled material by participating in the Oral Care Brigade, a free program run by TerraCycle and Colgate. Schools will earn credits for each shipment of empty toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and dental floss containers sent to TerraCycle, and through online votes.
The grand prize winner will be announced in October and the new playground will be installed in spring 2016. Two runner-up schools and six honorable mention participants will receive Meijer gift cards and other prizes.
