A group of Meijer team members from the Northern Region rolled up their sleeves to participate recently in the National Day of Caring in Fremont, Mich. put on by the United Way – Newaygo County Community Committee. Here’s an excerpt from a note the team received from Fremont Mayor Jim Rynberg:
“On behalf of the United Way – Newaygo County Community Committee, it is my pleasure to offer this ‘thank you’ for your great help last Friday during our 2018 Day of Caring. This annual event gives members of the community a chance to ‘give back’ in ways that benefit all of our citizens. The planting of 33 trees in the Industrial Park and at Henning Park in Newaygo will remain as testimony to OUR caring for the community and the environment.
It is not often that we have representatives from a major company ‘offer’ to come and readily give assistance on our Days of Caring. Your representation of the Meijer Company is outstanding …
