Cooking with the Chicago Blackhawks

The Rolling Meadows Meijer hosted Chicago Blackhawks Defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk for the Cooking with a Blackhawk event. He was joined by his fellow teammate Tommy Hawk, Blackhawks Mascot, and Maribel Alchin, Meijer Healthy Living Advisor and bilingual dietitian.
Together van Riemsdyk and Alchin prepared coconut ginger soup for more than 200 customers. Following the cooking demonstration, customers had the opportunity to meet the Blackhawks defenseman and get an autograph.
