On its second day, the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give hosted the Celebrity Pro-Am at Egypt Valley Country Club, where over 30 teams of players partnered with athletes, media personnel and other celebrities to support the Simply Give mission of the tournament.
Egypt Valley also hosted the first of this year’s Junior Clinics, where over 50 kids came to receive lessons from LPGA golfers and The First Tee instructors. Doug Meijer thanked the event’s P&G sponsors before welcoming the children to activities from putting practice to GolfZilla driving training.
LPGA golfers also continued practice at Blythefield Country Club in advance of the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give tournament’s official start on Thursday. The evening was capped off with a dinner for Meijer vendors and executives at the Frederik Meijer Gardens, where President & CEO Rick Keyes spoke about his excitement to be hosting the fourth year of this event.
