The Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give has officially kicked-off a week of festivities in Grand Rapids with player practices and a team member celebration.
On Monday, June 12, Meijer team members were treated to a golf-themed party including games, snacks and the big red Meijer chair. Team members were also able to meet last year’s tournament champion, Sei Young Kim, at a meet-and-greet event.
Some of the 144 professional golfers playing in the tournament also began to arrive and practice at Blythefield Country Club. Players in the tournament—including three sponsorship exemption college players—will continue to practice until the first round of the tournament begins Thursday morning, June 15.
