Meijer and Huggies partnered up for the fourth consecutive year to donate $10,000 and 150,000 diapers to the National Diaper Bank Network including Baby Basics of Cincinnati as part of the No Baby Unhugged program. For every Huggies package purchased at Meijer between Nov. 13, 2016 and Jan. 2, 2017, the retailer donated $1 and Huggies donated a day’s worth of diapers.
The local Cincinnati diaper bank will receive 50,000 diapers as part of the overall donation. They currently provide diapers to 30 families per month.
In 2010, Huggies conducted a study that found one in three U.S. families suffers from diaper need. Then in 2011, the company became the founding sponsor of the National Diaper Bank Network to drive awareness of diaper need in the U.S and build up the capabilities of diaper banks across the country. Since then, Huggies has donated more than 200 million free Huggies diapers.
