Hunger Task Force kicked off its 5th annual Wanted: Peanut Butter campaign to fill the Wisconsin food bank’s deficit of nearly 30,000 jars this winter.
Meijer was pleased to support the campaign with a donation of 3,500 jars of the nutrient-packed snack.
“We are happy to help support Hunger Task Force and supply local Milwaukee kids with our 3,500-jar donation,” Wauwatosa Meijer Store Director Don Mettler Jr. said. “We have a core commitment to hunger relief at Meijer, and we’re proud to partner with Hunger Task Force again this year to give back to this community.”
Local fire stations in Milwaukee and the surrounding suburbs will collect peanut butter from the public as they drop off their donations. The campaign runs through March 3.
