Meijer Donates $15K to Jordan Lake Trail

Meijer donated $15,000 to the Jordan Lake Trail Board, helping it get closer to its fundraising goal of $300,000. The funds will be used to complete a 2.5-mile trail, which includes a 400-foot boardwalk over a portion of Jordan Lake.
Jordan Lake Trail will not only provide a paved walking and biking path, but it will also provide a safe route to school for Lakewood Middle and High School students. Resting platforms on the boardwalk will give small children and the physically handicapped fishing capabilities.
Every year, Meijer supports a wide variety of nonprofit organizations by donating more than 7 percent of its net profit to charities and sponsoring hundreds of community events.
