Colgate and Meijer teamed up with TerraCycle, a recycling company that specializes in difficult-to-recycle goods, to present Dutton Christian School of Caledonia, Mich. with a new playground made from recycled oral care products through the “Recycled Playground Challenge.”
Dutton Christian School competed with schools across the Midwest to earn the most Playground Credits by voting online and recycling empty toothpaste tubes, floss containers and toothbrushes through the Colgate® Oral Care Brigade™, a free recycling program operated by Colgate and TerraCycle. Dutton Christian School won the contest with 17,964 Playground Credits through the joint effort of parents, faculty and students.
As a family-owned company, we are dedicated to instilling the values of community service and healthy living in children in the communities we serve and hope this playground will serve as a reminder to the students of Dutton Christian of the rewards of their hard work and commitment to improving the environment.
