Make-A-Wish Michigan Celebrates Everyday Superhero and Wish Kid at Gala Event

On May 12, Make-A-Wish® Michigan celebrated the everyday superhero in everyday people during its 2016 Wish Ball – West Michigan. The black tie gala emceed by Jack Doles and Maranda of WOOD TV8 featured courageous West Michigan wish children, as well as three incredible honorees.
The night featured wish kid Chase, whose wish was to be a firefighter. This spurred the everyday heroes in the Muskegon community into action and formed an amazing bond with North Muskegon Fire Chief Steve Lague, who was by Chase’s side every step of the way on his wish day.
Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Michigan has granted more than 8,500 wishes to Michigan children with life-threatening medical conditions. As a sponsor, Meijer is pleased to support the event.
