Meijer helped kick off the Hunger Task Force’s Wanted: Peanut Butter campaign recently with the donation of 3,500 jars of peanut butter.
Now through March 4, local fire stations will serve as peanut butter drop-off points. Individuals, schools and businesses are encouraged to host peanut butter drives, or make a donation online at www.hungertaskforce.org.
“Peanut butter is a healthy and nutritious staple for kids, which is why we donated 3,500 jars to Hunger Task Force to kick off this incredibly important campaign,” Wauwatosa Meijer Store Director Tom Livernois said. “Hunger relief is at the core of our corporate giving focus at Meijer and we are proud to once again work with Hunger Task Force, as well as local food pantries, to do our part to help those in need.”
