Bowling Green Children Shop with a Cop for Back to School

The Bowling Green Meijer and area Fraternal Order of Police teamed up earlier this month to help roughly 40 elementary school children from south central Kentucky get ready to head back to school.
During the “Shop with a Cop” event, the children walked the aisles with area law enforcement to shop for their much-needed classroom essentials. Meijer donated $1,000 in gift cards so the children could get what they needed to start the school year off right – and build a bond with area police.
With donations from the FOP, each child received at least $100 in Meijer gift cards to spend.
