Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft to Bring Community Together during Tournament Week
Jul 15, 2015
After a successful inaugural event last year, the Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft is right around the corner and will feature 144 of the world’s best women golfers playing 72 holes July 23-26 at Blythefield Country Club. As tournament week nears, we’re gearing up for a week of festivities – including challenges, entertainment and more – to help bring the community together, including:
- July 21: Meijer LPGA Celebrity Pro-Am at Egypt Valley Country Club, 7333 Knapp Ave. NE in Grand Rapids, will feature more than 25 celebrities, including Herm Edwards, Dhani Jones, Kirk Cousins, Mateen Cleaves, Manny Legace and Mike McCarthy. The event is open to the public with gates opening at 9 a.m. Tickets are available at meijerLPGAclassic.com – all you need is your daily or weekly ticket for the formal tournament week.
- July 22-24: Meijer LPGA Junior Clinic presented by Johnson & Johnson
- July 24: Meijer LPGA Celebrity Chef Cookoff presented by Kraft
- July 25: Meijer LPGA 5k Run & Walk presented by Kellogg’s
- July 25: Meijer LPGA Community Concert presented by General Mills
The driving mission of the tournament is feeding the hungry and improving the quality of life for our neighbors throughout the region. Similar to last year, proceeds from the tournament – and each of the week’s festivities – will benefit the Meijer Simply Give program. The inaugural Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft raised more than $600,000 for the Simply Give program to feed those in need throughout the Midwest.
Tickets are available for all events. You can find out more about tournament week and purchase tickets here: meijerlpgaclassic.com.
