To celebrate the grand opening of the Grafton Meijer store and support the communities where we work and live, Meijer donated $25,000 to assist with the village’s Riverwalk expansion. The donation will allow the Village of Grafton to install five new informational kiosks along the Riverwalk, and plans have been put in place to build a pavilion that overlooks the river.
The Riverwalk is an important part of Grafton’s ongoing downtown revitalization efforts, as it provides both residents and tourists with all abilities a place to experience the Milwaukee River. The walk features lookout points, benches and an overlook plaza with beautiful views of the waterfall.
“The Grafton Riverwalk is a valuable community resource that is enjoyed by people of all ages from in and around Grafton who like outdoor activity. Meijer is pleased to support the expansion efforts,” Meijer Wisconsin Market Director Chris Hoffmann said.
