2015 Meijer State Games of Michigan – Summer Games Details Released

This year the 2015 Meijer State Games of Michigan – Summer Games is bigger than ever, featuring 43 sports competitions over the course of three weekends, as well as an opening ceremony with festivities such as the parade of athletes, lighting of the cauldron and more.

The Meijer State Games is a signature event of the West Michigan Sports Commission and is modeled after the Olympics. The Summer Games welcome athletes regardless of age or ability, and embody the values of participation, sportsmanship and healthy living among residents of Michigan. From June 19-21, June 25-28 and August 8-9, the Summer Games will bring together more than 7,500 athletes to compete at the multi-sport event around the greater Grand Rapids, Mich. area.

New sports to the 2015 lineup include baseball, quad rugby, soccer, tennis and the ultrafit challenge. For a full list of this year’s Summer Games competitions, click here.
