Three diaper banks in the Midwest – Mid-Michigan Diaper Bank in Lansing, Mich.; Nestlings Diaper Bank in Holland, Mich.; and St. Bernadette Diaper Bank in Prospect, Ky. – shared a $10,000 donation from Meijer and 150,000 diapers from Huggies after a holiday partnership empowered local shoppers to give back and help families in need.
According to research, one in three moms nationwide struggle with diapering their child. In an effort to help alleviate that burden, Meijer and Huggies teamed up for the second consecutive year through the Huggies Every Little Bottom program to help ensure babies throughout the Midwest have an adequate supply of diapers.
The Huggies Every Little Bottom program aims to raise awareness of diaper need, and has donated more than 130 million diapers to babies in need since 2010. Representatives from Meijer and Huggies awarded checks and delivered diapers earlier this month through the National Diaper Bank Network.
