In an effort to support the community during an especially challenging cold and flu season, Lysol and Meijer teamed up this week to clean desks at a Grand Rapids Public School. A team of 20 people joined forces to “Cleanse the Classroom” at Coit Creative Arts Academy.
“Based on our mutual commitment to our communities and customers, we thought it would be fitting to spend an afternoon in a school, cleaning desks, to help combat the cold and flu, and hopefully preventing one more student or teacher from missing school due to illness,” Lysol Director of Sales Patrick Kane said.
The companies also donated $500 worth of products to the school so each teacher was equipped with more Lysol disinfectant products. Earlier this year, they gave away $10,000 in Lysol cleaning and school supplies to schools throughout the Midwest as part of their yearly Back-to-School campaigns.
