Meijer Helps Customers Have a Very Merry Holiday
Dec 24, 2014
To spread holiday cheer, Meijer surprised one customer in every store across the Midwest by gifting them their entire cart, brimming with groceries, holiday presents and decorations. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and generous Meijer customers have been showing the true meaning of the holidays.
Many thankful recipients shared stories about what the gift meant to them. One recipient in the Chicago area had been in the hospital with the flu and recently had stents put in her heart. The surprise made it possible for her to provide a happy holiday for her family.
In Michigan, Saginaw-area residents Rick and Sue Hopper plan to pass on the generosity with a $100 gift card for an out-of-work relative and giving another $100 to Hopevale Church Christmas Eve offering. When they were chosen as recipients in the Very Merry Meijer event, they were buying groceries and gifts for a neighbor.
Meijer appreciates our customers who, not surprisingly, helped pass on the good cheer of the season and help make it brighter for everyone. For more information on the Very Merry Meijer event, please click here.
