Chicago Blackhawks hockey player Dan Carcillo recently visited the Homer Glen Meijer to participate in Cooking with the Blackhawks, an in-store cooking demonstration that teaches customers how to prepare healthy, quick and affordable meals. Meijer Healthy Living Advisor Maribel Alchin hosted the demonstration alongside Carcillo as he displayed his culinary skills.
Through the years, several Blackhawks players have participated in the program, including Ben Smith, Brandon Bollig, John Scott and more. Our ongoing partnership with the Blackhawks is one of the many ways Meijer supports the community and provides families with easy to prepare and healthy meal ideas. To the delight of the crowd, Carcillo also met more than 400 fans and signed autographs at the event.
