That spirit of connection was on full display during Family Day 2026, when team members across our stores, supply chain and manufacturing facilities, and corporate offices welcomed their families for a day of celebration and fun.
Originally launched in 2024 as part of Meijer’s 90th anniversary celebration, Family Day has become a tradition that brings people together and gives team members an opportunity to share their workplace with their families.
This year, locations across the Midwest hosted a variety of activities tailored to their communities.
Celebrations included food from local restaurants and vendors, live entertainment, games, crafts, and opportunities to connect with community partners, including local police and fire departments. From photo opportunities and face painting to outdoor games and giveaways, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Family Day reflects Meijer’s commitment to fostering an inspired team member experience and creating memories for both team members and their loved ones. By bringing families together and celebrating the people who support our team members both at work and at home, the event helps strengthen the culture that has been part of Meijer for more than 90 years.
