On May 6, we’re opening three new stores – in Rochester Hills, Mich., Brownsburg, Ind. and Bainbridge Township, Ohio. Store Directors Cynthia Griggs, Rebecca Miller and Drew Manning have been working for months to assemble top-notch teams, meet the community and get the stores fully stocked for opening day. Cynthia Griggs, Rochester Hills Meijer Grocery Store Director
How long have you been with Meijer?
I have more than 30 years of experience with Meijer and previously led stores in Chesterfield, Royal Oak, Warren, Detroit, and Macomb Township.
What does “The Good Life” mean to you?
For me, the good life means building positive relationships and finding joy in everyday moments.
What’s your favorite Meijer memory?
One of my most memorable experiences with Meijer was when I met then chairman Fred Meijer at our Royal Oak store as he humbly helped push carts on a chilly November day.
What are you most looking forward to?
I look forward to strengthening community connections and providing exceptional service. Together, we can create a shopping experience that is both convenient and meaningful.
What’s your favorite Meijer brand product? My favorite Meijer brand product is the True Goodness Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk. It is a staple in our refrigerator!
Rebecca Miller, Brownsburg Supercenter Store Director
How long have you been with Meijer?
I have more than 10 years of experience with Meijer, having worked in a variety of roles before serving as Store Director in Greenwood, Ind., and supporting the market through leadership transitions.
What does “The Good Life” mean to you?
To me, the good life means doing meaningful work alongside people I care about—building strong teams, serving the community, and creating an environment where others can grow and succeed.
What’s your favorite Meijer brand product?
Frederik’s by Meijer™ Dark Chocolate Cherries are my current obsession.
What are you most looking forward to?
I’m most looking forward to building strong connections within the Brownsburg community and working with our team to create a welcoming, meaningful experience for our customers.
What’s your favorite Meijer memory?
One of my favorite Meijer memories is hosting a family day at my store, where team members brought their families together for games and activities. Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces—especially the kids—reinforced how important it is to create a workplace where people feel valued, connected, and proud to be part of something bigger.

How long have you been with Meijer?
My professional journey has taken me through various stores in the Columbus and Cleveland area, and I recently celebrated 20 years with Meijer.
What’s your favorite Meijer brand product?
My favorite product is Frederik’s by Meijer® Parisian Roast ground coffee.
What does “The Good Life” mean to you?
The good life, to me, means leading in a way that empowers people—creating opportunities for my team and community to flourish and reach new heights.
What’s your favorite Meijer memory?
Being part of the Northeast Ohio Meijer expansion is my favorite memory, especially opening three stores on the same day in 2025. It was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish with strong teamwork and shared purpose.
