So Yeon Ryu Takes Solo Lead at the Meijer LPGA Classic

So Yeon Ryu tees off on day two of tournament play.

On Friday, So Yeon Ryu (Republic of Korea) shot 5-under par to take a one-shot lead at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. Sandra Gal (Germany) and Sakura Yokomine (Japan) are tied for second place, followed by Caroline Masson (Germany) in fourth place.

When asked what’s been the difference this week, Ryu said, “I really like my putting stroke right now.  No matter I made it or not, I feel like my stroke is really great and my rhythm’s really great, so I really want to keep this tempo and rhythm for next weekend.”

The Grand Taste also opened to the public on Friday, an event featuring food and beverage samples from local restaurants, breweries and Meijer vendors.
