Detroit Red Wings Players are Coming to Meijer

The Detroit Red Wings’ annual Hometown Holiday Assist shopping spree program is coming to Meijer.

In conjunction with the team’s Hockeytown Cares platform, the Detroit Red Wings will be bringing its annual Hometown Holiday Assist shopping spree to the Detroit Meijer in December.

The players will be shopping with 20 youth from the Trenton Hockey Association and then donating the gifts to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan’s Snowpile program for patients hospitalized during the holiday season.

The youth hockey players will then be surprised with their own shopping spree and some new hockey equipment.
Meijer is excited to host this fun annual event that brightens the spirits of so many area kids.
