Meijer Simply Give Program Set Record Year: Nearly $8.5 million

The Meijer Simply Give program set a record in 2017 with nearly $8.5 million for food pantries throughout the Midwest, bringing the program’s overall donation to more than $37 million since its inception in 2008.
Our most recent campaign — held during the holiday season — results in more than $3.1 million alone for hungry families. It was the program’s best campaign ever.
“Hunger is a local problem, which is why the funds given to Simply Give stay local,” said Cathy Cooper, Senior Director of Community Partnerships and Giving. “The Simply Give program gives everyone a chance to work together to ensure no one has to go without food.”
