Meijer, Spectrum Health Make Breast Cancer Screenings Convenient

Meijer is sponsoring a new mobile mammography unit operated by Spectrum Health’s Betty Ford Breast Care Services that will visit the following West Michigan Meijer stores from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this month:
- Aug. 10: Plainwell Meijer
- Aug. 14: Ludington Meijer
- Aug. 21: Lowell Meijer
- Aug. 24: Alpine Meijer
- Aug. 28: Mt. Pleasant Meijer
- Aug. 31: Ionia Meijer
“Meijer is committed to expanding convenient access to breast screenings,” Meijer Health and Wellness Director Jacquelyn DeBruler said. “This partnership gives us an opportunity to meet customers where they are.”
Patients are seen on the mobile units with walk-on patients welcome as scheduling allows. While insurance is accepted on mobile units, there are free mammograms provided for uninsured or under insured patients who quality. For more information about this option, please call 616-486-6022.
