Family-Friendly Activities at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give
Jun 18, 2017

Saturday morning, the third day of play at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, began with a rainy start. But that didn’t stop a few hundred runners from completing the Meijer 5K Run & Walk at Northview High School. The rain swept away in time for runners to stay dry, and the event concluded with a breakfast presented by Kellogg’s. Race results and times can be viewed online at this link.

After a slight rain delay, day three of play began at Blythefield Country Club with the remaining 70 golfers. LPGA pro Brooke Henderson stayed in the lead throughout most of the day, but was passed for first place by 2015 Meijer LPGA Classic winner Lexi Thompson. Throughout the day, the Meijer Kids Center presented by Dove remained open with crafts, snacks and golf practice for the younger fans.

To conclude the day, the Grand Taste at the Meijer LPGA Classic hosted a concert by 3 Doors Down. Spectators enjoyed Meijer-sponsored food and brew samples while listening to the live band.
