May 9, 2017

All three defending champions—Sei Young Kim, Lexi Thompson and MirimLee—will return to Blythfield Country Club for the 2017 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give where they will compete among 144 of the best women golfers for four days of competition.

Reigning champion Sei Young Kim is still new to the Tour, but she has five overall career wins, three of them in her rookie season. She competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics and became a Rolex First-Time Winner in 2015 at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.

Lexi Thompson, 2015 Meijer LPGA Classic champion, was the youngest person to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open in 2007 at age 12 and became the youngest winner in LPGA Tour history in 2011. Since launching her professional career in 2010, she has finished 45 times in the Top 10 and has seven LPGA Tour victories and one major.

In 2013, Mirim Lee broke the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament scoring record with a 61 in the third round to earn Priority List Category for the 2014 season. Her playoff win at the 2014 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give during her rookie season earned her the Rolex First-Time Winner commendation and in March, she received her third victory at the 2017 Kia Classic.
