Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan to Commemorate 50 Years with the Help of Meijer

Meijer understands that cultural experiences in art, history and science offered to communities from public educational institutions like Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan are invaluable. The modern 42,000-square-foot facility has a collection of more than 47,000 artifacts, rotating art exhibits from local, regional, national, and world renowned artists, in addition to a full dome planetarium, and more.
The museum is important to the Alpena, Mich. community, and is one reason why Meijer is pleased to support its 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign with a $5,000 donation. Our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve includes helping to preserve and foster an appreciation for arts, culture and local history. With the donation from Meijer, Besser Museum will purchase new digital planetarium equipment, as well as expand and enrich its arts and culturally-based programs.
