This weekend, Meijer is sponsoring the annual Michigan Irish Music Festival, a weekend filled with entertainment and activities for all ages. The event, which runs from Sept. 17-20, will take place at Heritage Landing in Muskegon, Mich.
Live music, from traditional and folk Irish to Celtic rock, will feature Seamus Kennedy, Blackthorn, Moxie Strings, Kennedy’s Kitchen, RUNA, Slide, We Banjo 3, High Kings, Sharon Shannon, Tupelo, Barelyjuice, and JigJam.
Festivalgoers can experience Irish culture by enjoying traditional food and drinks at The Pub and the Celtic Kitchen and shop at the Irish Market and Irish Store. Other attractions include the Cultural and Dance Stage, the Session Tent, the Wee Ones’ Area, the Tea Room, the Celtic Games, and the Whiskey Snug. A Catholic Mass will be held Sunday at 9 a.m. followed by a breakfast.
