The Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft first round of play kicked off today at Blythefield Country Club, featuring a full field with 48 pairings July 23-26, 2015. Notable players competing for the $2 million purse include Lexi Thompson, Morgan Pressel, Brittany Lincicome and Brittany Lang.
In other news today, Meijer announced upcoming dates for the Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft will return to Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Mich. for the next two years. The tournaments will be held Father’s Day weekend on June 13-19, 2016 and June 12-18, 2017.
Proceeds from the tournaments and weeklong community events will continue to benefit the Meijer Simply Give program. The inaugural Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft raised more than $600,000 for the Simply Give program to feed those in need throughout the Midwest.
