It is our philosophy to support the communities where our customers and team members work and live. With Halloween right around the corner, we’re pleased to sponsor the inaugural BISSELL Howl-O-Ween Hoof and Woof carnival in Grand Rapids, Mich., a spooktacular event benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
The old-fashioned carnival is open to the public with activities including sack races, Smooch Your Pooch photo booth, a trick-or-treat trail for kids and dogs, and much more. All attendees, including pets, are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costume.
“It’s true what they say about four-legged friends being man’s best friend, but we like to think that relationship goes both ways especially thanks to great events like this,” said Stacie Behler, Meijer group vice president of public affairs and communication.
The family-friendly event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 19, from noon to 3 p.m. at Manhattan Park. Proceeds will support the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology and Oncology department and West Michigan Therapy Dogs, in addition to the BISSELL Pet Foundation.
