To celebrate the opening of our 213th store, Meijer gave store gift cards to The Cancer Support Center in Mokena, Ill. The support center plans to buy office supplies, produce and food items for nutrition programs and art supplies for the art therapy classes and family fun nights they host. The donation will help facilitate the center’s free services and programs for Mokena residents, including counseling, education and physical wellness programs.
The Cancer Support Center gives strength, guidance and support to anyone living with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to their loved ones. The center is a community-based, volunteer-driven, donor-supported organization. The programs, resources and services are always delivered by professional therapists, counselors, nutritionists, and experts, and are provided in a warm, welcoming and nurturing setting at no cost to participants.
